Darlene joined the Water Systems Analysis Group in August 2000, bringing over 30 years experience in business, administration, and marketing to the group. In addition to managing the administrative efforts of the group, she is pursuing a Geography degree and attempting to learn French. C'est bon!
Professional Interests
Professional interests include web design, expanding her knowledge of computer applications and programs, communications with national and international colleagues, and cultural geography-related issues.
Personal Interests
Personal interests include travel, reading, entertaining, and more recently, golf. Travel has most recently included a trip to Greece and Turkey, as well as trips to Italy, France, Hawaii, and Canada. Las Vegas is a frequent destination, and tropical travels have included Belize and Mexico, as well as most of the Caribbean Islands. Favorite authors are Nelson DeMille and Janet Evanovich. Favorite books include Plum Island (DeMille) and Shadow of the Wind (Carlos Ruiz Zafon). Darlene lives in Madbury with her husband Russell and has two grown children and two step-children.
